save the date
For the first time in a long time both my credit cards are at $0. I have money in both my savings accounts as well as money in both my checking accounts. (Yes, begrudgingly I have two banks. It’s a long, painful story that I’m learning to live with). On Friday I even got my first CD. I went around telling everyone that by the time by CD expired/matured, in 9 months, it would have made $1,500 in interest. At happy hour on Saturday, upon hearing my story–my very smart, very financially aware friend told me I was crazy and that was impossible. It turns out, I’ll make about $150. Still, he was impressed none-the-less…not touching a couple thousand dollars, for almost a year, is a big deal for a shopaholic like me.
Oh, but there are bigger plans for that money. Even more important than the $595 pair of Tory Burch (Jackson) boots I crave.
